It is planned to achieve mass production and delivery by the end of this month. After putting into production, it can produce about 1 million medical masks a day.

According to the introduction, the medical mask is generally divided into three layers, the inner and outer two layers are non-woven, the middle filter layer is melt blown cloth, which is also the "heart part" of the mask, with good filtering, shielding, heat insulation and oil absorption, and is an important raw material for the production of medical surgical mask and N95 mask. Due to the current critical period of epidemic prevention and control, under the huge demand of mask production, "one cloth is hard to find".

For this reason, at the beginning of this month, Chongqing Sanmu, which mainly provides new composite friction materials, seam coating parts and other raw materials for BMW, Chang'an, Geely and other vehicle enterprises, has determined the production plan of converting production to production of mask melt blown cloth. The person in charge of the company said that the key raw material for producing the melt blown cloth is polypropylene melt blown filter material, and the company has the production capacity of polypropylene melt blown cloth, which can be used for the production of melt blown cloth after the rapid transformation of the production equipment. At present, Guangxi, Guangdong and other similar auto parts enterprises have made achievements in the production of melt blown cloth for masks.

At present, Chongqing Sanmu has successfully overcome all the technical requirements of melt blown filter materials for masks, completed the production of small samples, feasibility analysis of equipment transformation and procurement of transformation equipment, preliminarily completed the trial development of melt blown filter materials, and its products have been sent to the third-party testing agency for sample testing. Next, the company will further expand production capacity through new production equipment and new purchase of melt blown production lines.
